    Detailed program

    Avalanche course Flims Laax Falera

    • Day 1

Avalanche course in Flims Laax Falera

In this one-day avalanche course, you will learn everything you need for safe behavior off the secured slopes. After a short theoretical introduction, we head straight into the terrain: We practise using an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel, interpret the avalanche bulletin together and discuss the most important precautionary measures. This way, you will be well prepared to react correctly in an emergency and can enjoy the freeriding and ski touring season with a feeling of safety.

You don't need any previous experience for this course. You can take part in the course with touring skis, splitboard or snowboard & snowshoes. However, you will need running equipment and must bring your skins or snowshoes.

You meet your mountain guide at the valley station of the Flims cable cars.

Flims is easily accessible by public transport. Take the train to Chur station and then the PostBus. The stop is called "Flims Dorf, Bergbahnen."

In order to have as many different practice options and types of terrain as possible, we are out and about in and around the ski areas. We will therefore eat in a restaurant on the mountain on both days. However, you should still bring a small snack and enough to drink in your rucksack.
